About two scientists trying to save the city of Los Angeles from a magnitude 10. What finished me off was the scene with the heroes waiting to take off in the helicopter just so that the cute dog could be rescued on time. Don't be - it isn't worth it. Everybody was relieved when it ended somewhat abruptly and we could all go home. I have to say that I was more than a little disappointed. This movie deserves a higher a rating. The effects, I've seen worse.
The special effects were apparently done by an eight - year -old on her Apple. I love disaster flicks often I work from home and just put them on my streaming playlist to fill the silent void as I work. I have been putting off watching this for a while due to star ratings but I don't usually let them get the better of me. The film just stopped shortly after the hero had apparently saved the day. This film added crummy when his poster is similar to film 2012 2009.
Didn't take long to figure out that my salary would have produced a better movie and though clearly a tongue in cheek knock off of more expensive and bold disaster flicks, It was still a poor movie. Five odious teenagers on a trip to the countryside around Los Angeles apparently to smoke dope and have sex in one or several combinations are winnowed down to the two least objectionable. Los Angeles is about to be hit by a devastating earthquake, and time is running out to save the city from imminent danger. I think the director and the actors need to give up their careers! Its one of these Syfy channel productions with a cheesy comedy disaster scenario and equally cheesy special effects. Not megabuck special effects, but it still tells an exciting story and does what it says! A good film makes you care if its characters live or die. This film added crummy when his poster is similar to film 2012 2009.
Please, please, please, please, please don't waste another second of your life on this film. But if you just want to have fun this is at least that. He was rather rudely left out of the credits. It is also full of physically impossible things, but hey which disaster movie is perfect. It deserves a 10 out of 10.
I watched this movie a few minutes ago. And the acting was above par for a disaster movie and if it weren't for some of the clichés the characters would have been even better- but even with the clichés I think job well done. The film lumbers from one clumsy set piece to the next while the script regurgitates old pseudo-science and the viewer struggles to stay awake. However we just wait and wait for the 10. Great movie 🎬 I am glad to own to be able to enjoy again. ! David Chokachi is a decent actor wasted in this below average snooze fest. I love these exciting disaster movies, and this is no exception.
The parents of one of these children set off to find her. I mean, it has many flaws but it is a movie you may actually enjoy or watch while you are doing something else. Don't be - it isn't worth it. You learn something every day. I gave it far more respect than it deserved by watching to the end in the vain hope that even this silly piece of twaddle may turn up an exciting finale.
Sure, it could be argued that it was about the perceived dangers of fracking, but the writers clearly did no research about it, except, maybe, to look it up on Wikipedia. This time, I waited and started watching last night. Unfortunately not and all I was left with was an overwhelming sense of unfulfilment and the desire perhaps for the ground to open up beneath me I'll give this a 7. Emily Cameron Richardson is a new seismologist with a theory who gets grumpy 'ole seismologist Gladstone Jeffrey Jones to convince Jack, the engineer at company doing the fracking, what disaster is to come if the company is not shut down. I don't know if it's done purposely or not, don't care really, it just takes the disaster movie gender which is famous for being bad and not even being aware of it to a whole new level of shlock, taking a giant crap on it! Anyone who takes this movie seriously needs a head doctor.
Look past the physical impossibility of most of what causes the tense moments. I should have known when I noticed how bad the opening credits were that this would be terrible. More disaster trash from the SyFy Channel, made with even less originality than before. Perhaps he cares about his C. Seems like everyone else has this at a 2 or below. Little quips were giggle-worthy and this was not altogether a worthless use of my time - however, I can't say I would watch it again. Your not missing anything by not swing this movie.
Good one for the teens sleepover. Hilariously badly made movie that I discovered today on Netflix. But the plus side is it was funny watching actors that look like Donald Trump and Morgan Freeman! But the humor will at least make you smile. Definitely a must see if you're into that sort of movie, I guarantee you're going to laugh the entire piece! Synopsis Los Angeles is about to be hit by a devastating earthquake, and time is running out to save the city from imminent danger. Worst thing I have ever seen.
